Final Blog Post/Course Reflection!

 The Enlightenment and the older movements that we revisited were a little tough for me. I am not a big history person and completing those assignments took a little time because doing the research and then completing the padlet and then comparing it to another piece of art was a lot of work and took me a lot of time. My work process was pretty good and impacted my writing in a good way. In researching I learned a lot about each movement and it led me to finding a good piece of art to analyze and compare to the cultural movement that I was working on. 

My strongest pieces of work were definitely the works of art that I analyzed and compared to the cultural movements. I felt that I would have a hard time with those but in the end they came out to be my best work and I enjoyed doing them. They came out strong because of the freedom we had in being able to choose any type of art and I was able to just connect with something and put a good analysis together. In my future work I will analyze more of my work and use the steps to get a deeper meaning out of life in general. 

Art is anything that is created or is able to be enjoyed by someone. Art is something that you analyze no matter what way you enjoy it whether its with your eyes or listening or feeling. You might not even realize that your analyzing it but its the process of your brain and body digging into the art and finding what gives you enjoyment. Any art that brings you enjoyment and makes you feel happy or intrigued is worth archiving.

The concepts of analyzing things whether its art or history or anything just the concept of breaking something down and digging in deeper to find the best understanding of something is huge and I will use that in all aspects of life not just school. I have to improve on my time management much better but I think that as I mature it will become easier and I will work on staying on top of things so they will go hand in hand. 

My personal learning goals went alright, I definitely need to have better time management and stay up on my work. One of my goals was getting better at presenting but we don't have any presentations so that one doesn't count. My goals went well overall but I can always improve. 

To support my own learning going forward I need to be better about writing what I have to do for each week down which will help me stay on top of my work. I want to start doing my homework right after class if I have time so that I don't do things last minute which I think will help me learn better and keep my stress levels down. Overall I just need to be more proactive with time and I'll be just fine in school and life.
