 I believe that art has a much broader spectrum on what it can be than most people think. Art can be anything that is created that brings someone joy when they engage with it. The special thing about art is that you can engage in so many different ways because of how broad the idea of it is. My art of choice to engage in most is music. Music is such a unique style of art because you can enjoy it with just your ears and even feel with your whole body if it's loud enough. I believe that most art is enjoyed through sight like photography, sculpture and architecture where people get a mental satisfaction. Music gives a full body satisfaction that I feel is unmatched by any other form of art and I think is very unique. I also believe that music can do more than just give people satisfaction in the way that it can be telling a story that relates to what is going on in the world at the time and could have a big impact on the community.  This week I had to go back and completely re-do my "This I Believe" essay as I did not complete it correctly on my first try and never revised it. I decided to start from scratch because I thought that if I went a different way that it would support my website well and make it flow better. So since I completely re-did the assignment I decided to talk about how some music is relating to social justice and is being created more and more as the social justice in our country today is a huge problem. I think that my progress on my project needs to get a little better the next couple weeks so that I can be successful in the class and have a good final product. I will have to spend about 4 days this week on my project getting a lot of work done and content into the website. I have a good structure so all I have to do is keep researching and making new content. If I buckle down this week and put a good amount of time into my work I should be in a good place going into the final week...

 This week for my website content I decided to add more songs to the category of social justice songs in past history. I thought that I needed more than just two so I could take this weeks work time to add some more into that category as I felt that it is a very important part of my project. I'm pretty satisfied on what I have in there right now. I might add one or two more songs but I also want to get started on a new category pertaining to the same idea but songs from recent history (2000-present). I think what I have now is good so I think for next week I am going to start the new category and come back later if I feel like it will support my project more. My organization feels pretty good, I like the setup of my website and the way that I'm going so I am on the right track I just have to keep adding new categories and find content that fits my project best.  This week for my project content I decided to explore music that relates to social justice in the past, some even were made in the times of slavery. I think that this is important for my project because eventually I want to get to how music today relates to social justice and black lives matter so talking about some older songs will give people the idea of some songs they maybe haven't heard before. In researching this topic I learned a lot myself about how graphic the lyrics sound and how horrible some of the ways of living were for black people in the times of slavery. I enjoyed how they took to the art of music to explain their pain and to try and get the world to change through art.  I'm not super satisfied with the amount of content I have created for my project so far.  This week in my website process I focused on the structure of my website. I spent a fair amount of time getting everything set up so that going forward I can create content and easily apply it to my website without having to take too much time to find somewhere to put it. I think that taking the time from creating this week to get the structure set up was a very necessary move for myself in order to make creating and applying content every week easy and doable. In structuring my website I made a home page about myself, a page for my critical analysis pieces, a page for my "This I Believe" essay, a music page, and a works cited page. I will be able to easily add more pages as needed in the future of creating content, but for the most part I feel that I am ready to start creating and applying content weekly, and even multiple times per week.
