Website Content Added
This week for my project content I decided to explore music that relates to social justice in the past, some even were made in the times of slavery. I think that this is important for my project because eventually I want to get to how music today relates to social justice and black lives matter so talking about some older songs will give people the idea of some songs they maybe haven't heard before. In researching this topic I learned a lot myself about how graphic the lyrics sound and how horrible some of the ways of living were for black people in the times of slavery. I enjoyed how they took to the art of music to explain their pain and to try and get the world to change through art.
I'm not super satisfied with the amount of content I have created for my project so far. I have been struggling to get interested with the project and putting in the time to get a bunch of content created. This week I have created plenty of time to get a lot of work done and get myself in a good position to create a great final project that I am happy with.
I have been feeling the same... I feel passionate about my topic and I like doing the research but I feel no motivation to create so I am not satisfied with my content. I started off with photography and realized that it was just too tedious to only focus on photographs. I started to branch out to movies and books and considering music as well. I like that you are finding old music to portray for your site. A lot of people have used music from the beginning of time to express feelings, whether its pain, happiness, sadness, or anger.

The idea to relate it to music is awesome and I look forward to seeing the final product. Anyways, it seems like your doing plenty of research and work and I'm sure that the content will begin to flow for you at some point, plus the time you made for yourself this week will be good for creating. ReplyDeleteConner, I can definitely relate to some of the feelings you are experiencing right now. I have gone through many periods where I have absolutely no drive and motivation to work on my project. I am also they type of person that will second guess everything I come up with, in terms of content that I create for my project, but as long as you just stay confident in the work you are doing, everything will turn out well! I really look forward to seeing some more of your work in the future!

ReplyDeleteHey Connor, I think that you are in the same boat as a lot of people right now. As the semester winds down, we are all becoming a little more stressed and want to make sure that we are putting ourselves in a good position to make sure that we are not cramming at the start of december. I think this week of thanksgiving is a good time to take a step back, reevaluate, and figure out what needs to be done and how it can be evenly spread out.
