Finding Relatable Writing In 'How music shapes the way we play video games, by Kellen Beck'

In the article: How music shapes the way we play video games, by Kellen Beck, I find it super interesting where they talk about video games having 3 components. "Video games consist of three components. The first two, visuals and interactivity, form the essential core of games, but the third component, sound, and specifically music, transforms games into something beyond an activity. Music can turn games into unforgettable experiences." I find this statement interesting because I personally feel that this applies to more than just video games. For me, music and sound transforms anything you're doing in life into something more magical. For example, when I'm playing hockey and the crowd is going crazy, the sound changes the whole feeling of the game for everyone in the building, no matter if you're playing or not. When a good song comes on in between plays, it calms me down and gets me focused on the next play and not what has already happened in the game. Music and sound can really change the feeling of anything in life and that's where I think Kellen Beck's article shows good writing because it makes you think and almost feel what they are talking about. When you read that part of the writing, you might not have noticed it before when you were playing video games, but next time you go to play I'm sure you will find yourself notice how the music and sounds change the feeling of the game and lock you in even more.
